Emergency Roof Replacement & Deck Restoration
A severe winter storm compromised the aging shingle roof of a Lake Elsinore residence, causing active ceiling leaks and hidden deck rot. We executed a full tear-off, replaced water-damaged decking, and installed high-grade architectural shingles with multi-layer underlayment—establishing a permanent weather-tight structural shield.
Project Journal
Our emergency response team was dispatched following a major rainstorm that triggered active roof leaks and interior drywall staining across the living room ceiling. Initial inspection revealed severely degraded asphalt shingles, blown-off ridge caps, and soft spots along the roof valley indicating underlying deck saturation and wood rot.
We executed a full tear-off down to the structural plywood decking, removing all compromised shingles and saturated underlayment. Our carpentry crew replaced 120 square feet of rotted decking sheets, re-securing the substrate before laying down self-adhered ice-and-water shield barriers across all valleys, eaves, and sidewall flashings.
To complete the weatherproofing, we installed lifetime architectural shingles using heavy-gauge corrosion-resistant fasteners and added a high-flow ridge vent system. A final water test and magnetic sweep confirmed complete leak isolation and zero job site debris, leaving the property with a permanent, weather-tight structural shield.
